Any suggestions for a hotel in Munich that has a good breakfast? We would like one that is "central" to the main sites if at all possible.
Pension Siebel, sits a stone's throw from the Viktulienmarkt. Nothing spectacular, just a good location, low price and typical European breakfast spread.
Here's a list I have compiled from Hotel recommend on the Wall in the past:
Blauer Bock
Viktualienmarkt
Royal
Uhland
Seibel
Münchner Kindl
No, I've not stayed at any of them. (I prefer a small hotel in the suburbs where they one speak German.) If I ever try one, it will probably be Münchner Kindl.
Holiday Inn Munich City Center, Munich
We stayed here, very close to everything..Doug
I go to Europe just so I don't have to stay in a Holiday Inn. Might as well go to Epcot.
Hotel Antares, in a quiet side street but only a few, easily walked blocks from Marienplatz, had a very good breakfast buffet included with the room rate. I found it through hotel.de and it was clean, reasonably priced, had an elevator, bathroom en suite and also a small restaurant serving an evening meal. They have a web site.
Hotel Ludwig opposite the train station. Review their web site for specifics.
