Munich Grocery Stores

The best and cheapest stores are Aldi and Lidl. After that comes Penny Markt and Rewe.

There's a couple within just a few blocks of the station. Shampoo, etc are easy to grab at the abundant Apothecaries. Depending on when you go too, there are lots of fruit stalls, etc with great food. :)
Just ask the TI for directions to the stores - a bit tricky to find, but not far.

There is a store in the Hauptbahnhof where you can buy beer and snacks. There is also a pharmacy across the street where I bought body lotion, and I am assuming you can purchase shampoo there as well.

There are often grocery stores in the basement of department stores, making one stop shopping easy. We used Galeria about 10 minutes from the train station but there are others.

There's a Karstadt Department Store (used to be Hertie's) right across the street from the Hauptbahnhof with a grocery section in the basement.

There is an Aldi about a block or two from the train station. I believe there was another grocery next to it, but I remember the Aldi's since that is the one I went into.
