Any hotel recommendations for Mulhouse? We prefer family-owned places a step or two above a hostel. Other than the Christmas markets, what else do you recommend doing there?

If you are at all interested in automobiles, the Schlumpf brothers museum is not to be missed. It is one of the premier car collections in the world and the setting inside the museum is truly unique.

The other main attraction in Mulhouse is the French national railway museum, which is also highly recommended. It is only static display though, no train rides.
