Can the Mount Pilatus excursion tickets (Alpnachstad-Pilatus Kulm-Kriens riding the cogwheel train, cable car, and gondola) that are discounted with your Swiss Railpass/Eurail Pass be purchased in Switzerland or only in the United States?
I purchased mine at the tourist information office in the Lucerne train station - and yes, you get the pass holder discount.
Hi guys,, about how much is that excursion,, I think my nephew said it was an optional offering on a Contiki tour he is going to take,, but they will charge 150 or 160 extra for it.. is that totally off base?
The adult fare for the Mt. Pilatus Excursion is 64 CHF (approx. $59)
The fare with a Swiss Pass/Flexi Pass is 32 CHF (approx. $30)
The fare with a Eurail Pass is 44.80 CHF (approx. $41)
Rail Europe also offers discounted vouchers for
the excursion.
There is also a Golden Round Trip and a Silver Round Trip that transports from Luzern via boat or train.
Check out the site www. pilatus.ch
It includes information about the various excursions, activities on the mountain, price lists,
and timetables.
Thanks Lee. Will check out site.
