Hello Is the train ride up to Mt Pilatus worthwhile for a day excursion? Will be in Switzerland June 19th and was wondering if this would be a good trip to do? Will I need to pack a jacket/long pants for the train/mountain? Thanks,

Either Rigior Pilatus makes a nice day excursion. You do the loop by boat, cogwheel train, and cablecar so get a chance to enjoy various types of Swiss transport. On Rigi you can go hiking which is why I prefer it. Pilatusis more rugged and dramatic.
