I'd like to take a two day circuit hike near Innsbruck that overnights at a mountain hut. Any suggestions?

Jim, have you googled "hiking in Innsbruck area". There is a wealth of information in English. On this website - also in English - click on "Explore Tirol Afoot": http://www.tirol.at/xxl/en/home/index.html At the bottom of the page that comes up are websites and phone numbers of respective tourist offices. They will know locations of huts and other accommodations and have suggestions as to routes. I would click on Tirol info first. As you undoubtedly know, Tyrol is the spelling for the Italian part.

The Austrian alpine Club (OeAv), which manages the huts, has a "Hüttefinder" function on their website. You can switch it to Englsish if you like www.alpineverein.at The map shows 4 or 5 huts quite close to Innsbruck. You can click on the symbols on the map to get details of each one.
