Moulin Rouge

Has anyone gone to a show at the Moulin Rouge? We will have 3 teens with us- heard this is very funny and entertaining but not sure if appropriate? Any comments would be appreciated.

As noted, there are bare breasts,, but that bothers some more then others,, it may be awkard for some teens in not used to seeing that.

I personally would not bother,, I saw show years ago,, and its like second rate Reno( not even Las Vegas in my opinion, lol ) ,, and its so expensive,, I think there are many other ways to spend money to entertain kids myself . Also, do note , many of the dancers aren't even french girls anymore. Saw a documentry on it, how now that its EU many girls from other countries work there now, and they even interviewed a few British girls,, so for how "French" and "authentic" an experience it is ,, I don't know.

I can tell you this,, my Parisian relatives have never been there, nor has my dad, and he grew up there, and none of my younger relatives would be caught dead there( he said he has been to the Lido,, but naked boobs there too) . Its really all about the tourist buses now. Sorry.

I saw the show in September. The show wasn't terrible, but certainly not worth the 100 Euros for each ticket. The seating was cramped and we had to twist in an odd fashion to be able to see the stage. I agree that there are better ways to spend time and money in Paris.

Total appropriate for Paris standards just as are other entertainment options.

If you are concerned then do not get a hotel room with a TV because you will see similar stuff in commercials.

I agree that there are better ways to spend your time and money in Paris, but we enjoyed it. Took my son when he was 16 a few years ago. There aren't a lot of topless women and it's tasteful, imo. We were not crammed in, had perfectly comfortable seats, had a good view of the stage, and we did not pay 100 Euros each. Maybe that included dinner which is a waste of money. You have your choice of dinner or no dinner. We paid considerably less (can't remember how much) w/o dinner.

Yikes is right Pat! No way would I go for that price.

Like I said, we enjoyed the show but there are much better ways to spend your time and money in Paris.

We enjoyed it, but I certainly wouldn't spend that kind of money to take teenagers.
