Anyone know the fastest way to get from Chamonix to Nice?

Depending upon the time of day, traveling by train will take from 8 1/2 to nearly 12 hours and will require from 2 to 6 connections. Some routes have one bus leg.
To see all the choices, go to www.bahn.de and click on the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner for English. After you get summary timetables for Chamonix-Mont-Blanc to Nice Ville, click on "Details for all" to see the connecting points.
On the other hand, www.viamichelin.com gives a suggested driving route that goes into Italy with an estimated time of around five hours.

We took a shuttle from Chamonix to the Geneva airport and flew on Easyjet to NICE. Quicker than driving and or the train as well as cheaper.
