Has anyone suggestions for a week or ten days from Madrid to Tangier and also Merrakech. Also maybe a couple days in Costa Del Sol. (what town) Hotels moderately priced in Costa Del Sol and likewise in Morroco.. for last two weeks in October. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Two people, father and son, both adults. FYI... I think I read it is not a good idea to put your email out here, so you might want to take it down and get your answers on this board.
As for Morocco, if you have a few days you might want to go on to Asilah (beautiful seaside town) and Chefchaouen (the blue town) Both were amazing and exotic and beautiful.

I think Fez has the best medina in Morocco, certainly better than Marrakesh, which is very touristy. You should also consider time for the mountains and the desert. Recommend getting a guide book - I used Lonely Planet. Why do you want to visit the Costa del Sol? Do you have a yen for British fish and chips?

We are going to CDS and Morocco for 20 days starting mid-October to early November. I researched Morocco on TA for several months before deciding on a route and riads. I also decided to hire a local guide who will accompany us for the 10 days. He will meet us at the ferry in Tangier and head to Fes for 3 nights while stopping in Chefchaouen on the way. From Fes we head to Merzouga for 2 nights for an overnight stay in the dunes. On our way to Marrakech we stop in Dades Gorge/Todra Valley for an overnight. We are in Marrakech for 3 nights before flying back to Madrid. Our guide would have booked all our riads but I had specific ones I wanted in Fes and Marrakech so I booked them and he is taking care of the rest.
