What's the general rule with tipping in Morocco?
Meals in Morocco already have a 10 percent tax added onto it. When I was there usually rounded the bill up about 5 dirhams. Tipping someone carrying your bag about 10 dirhams.
A tax added on is a tax, it isn't a tip. The server certainly isn't going to get the tax amount, nor the service charge that some countries use. That money is always going to go to the business. If you want to tip your servers a bit, then do so. It just doesn't have to be like in the US. I tipped everybody a few dirhams in Morocco, the porters carrying bags, the taxi driver, the housekeepers, the bartender and the waiters.
