More Southern Germany advice wanted! :)

Okay, everyone was so great giving my Southern Germany Itinerary feedback that I wanted to ask for more help! Does anyone have any hotels or B&B's that they really liked in any of the following areas:

Bacharach
Rothenberg
Baden-Baden
Fussen
Munich

Thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it!

In Munich I like Pension Seibel. I like it for the price and location -- being affordable and only 200 feet from the Viktualienmarkt. Note that it is not fancy, does not have air conditioning, and if it has an elevator it must not go to the top floors as I don't recall ever using it.

In Rothenburg I have one that I like... but I'm drawing a total blank on it. Smaller location but with a restaurant, biergarten... I'll ask my wife and get back (I hope).

Hi Ashley,

We loved the Gasthof zum Rappen 10 minutes or so from Rothenburg.

Very nice place, friendly people, beautiful rooms and great buffet breakfast. Ask for a room w/balcony, as not all have one.

We also liked and stayed twice at the Hotel zum Hechten in Fuessen. Again, very nice place and right in the old town pedestrian zone (free parking behind the hotel) of Fuessen.

in rothenberg gasthaus spitaltor was great.

i know you are staying in fussen rather than reutte but am posting in case anyone else is staying there.
we loved pension waldrast. the heuter family was wonderful, helpful and friendly. they are on the outskirts of town and have a small farm. they happened to be bringing in hay and showed us their barn and fields etc. this was fab for us as we have a hay farm. what a contrast.

On the Rhein I stayed in Boppard, in a Privatzimmer. The young couple only spoke German to me. Don't know if they speak English.

In Rothenburg I stayed at Reidel. I don't know if Rick still lists it. (He compared it to the Munsters, but my wife, who doesn't speak German, thought the owner, Lorry, who barely speaks English, was quite charming.) The place is close to the Fussgangerzone and filled with antiques, but a little rustic (bathrooms on the floor).

I was not at all impressed with Baden-Baden. I stay elsewhere in the Schwarzwald.

For Füssen, I would recommend the neighboring town of Pfronten, but, again, where I stayed, no English. I think they might speak English at Aggenstein. It seemed nice.

If there is a better place to stay than Baden-Baden, i would love to know. I want to drive through the Black Forest and do some hiking. Thanks!

Pension Elke in Rothenberg. Klaus runs his grocery downstairs and whips up a fine breakfast each morning. Nice rooms and fantastic location (well really anywhere inside the wall in Rothenberg is fantasic).
