For me personally, a car serves as something to get from point A to point B with as little as expense and hassle as possible. However, having just had a visit with my American car-obsessed cousin from Sweden, I would think that a NASCAR hat, worn with the right attitude, could be a conversation starter. I hesitate make generalizations, but it seems like the more rural, working-class Europeans (or at least Swedes) love the American car culture. Another relative not only has two American cars in his barn, a motorcyle painted with Indians and buffalos, but also several American tattoos including the Dixie flag (not a clue what it stands for) and Roger Rabbit.... It is what it is and enjoy...
