We have one day for a day trip from Barcelona and both of these places sound intriguing. We like Dali, but also enjoy outdoor scenery. Got any opinions? Thanks :D

Only have been to Monserrat, but it is very impressive, lots of great hikes!

Check out Cadaques along the northeastern coast. Takes a circuitous drive to get there, but it's a lovely spot...Great strolling along the waterfront & a trip to Dali's house (not the museum!) is a kick; the neighboring town of Roses used to be the site of the world's reputed #1 restaurant...other very good ones nearby. Stayed at a neat & reasonable hotel on the water; can't remember the name, but you can surely find it...
