Hello All, We are traveling to Montreal this June and staying in the"old town". Best suggestion for transport from Pierre Trudeau airport to the old town. There will be 8 of us including a 90 year old. Rent a van? Hire a van? Hop a fleet of taxis? thanks for your suggestions. Cordially yours,
pb
Here's the airport's website; "Ground Transportation" is on the left:
https://www.admtl.com/Passengers/AccessAndParking/Home.aspx Taxi fare is fixed at 40 CAD; you would need two taxis. That's the way I'd do it, because while there's a bus, it's 9 CAD per person, and then you have to get from the Bus Station to your hotel (I'm assuming "old town" means Vieux Montreal, near the port). Unless you need a van for other purposes during your visit, I wouldn't rent one just to get to and from the airport.
Oh Wonderful Montreal! You may want to check this out: http://www.toandfromtheairport.com/montreal.html I would suggest taking a cab, but make to ask the driver about fixed price.
There is construction work near the airport these days...(I was in Montreal last week). Bon voyage!!!
