I have not been to Mont St Michel since they closed it to cars. I have read about the causeway and the shuttles that take one in/out. How late do those operate? It used to be that if one was not staying on the island , you had to leave by a certain time or your parking lot would flood. We are not staying overnite on the island this time, but would like to know if we can stay until dark and watch it turn into the magically lit wonder and then walk or take a shuttle back to our car.
