I'll be staying in Mont S Michel for a couple of nights in late Sept and then going to Lourdes. To arrive in Lourdes in the evening, I need to leave Rennes around 9 AM. I can't find bus schedules from MSM to Rennes. Does anyone know how long it takes and how early the buses leave from MSM? Also, do the buses leave from the island, or do I need to allow time to get to the mainland? And finally, any idea how far it is in Rennes from the bus station to the train station? Thanks for any information.

The first bus operated by SNCF (French National Rail) leaves Mont-Saint-Michel at 09:25 and arrives in Rennes at 10:45. You can leave Rennes at 12:13, connect in Nantes and Bordeaux, and arrive in Lourdes at 21:15. If you decide to spend the night in Rennes before going to Lourdes, the last bus leaves Mont-Saint-Michel at 17:15 and arrives in Rennes at 18:40. See the timetables on the German Rail site. I don't know where the bus stops at Mont-Saint-Michel. I expect that the bus station and the train station in Rennes are close by each other.
