On our last day in Belgium we will be driving from Ghent to Waterloo and Bastogne to Luxembourg city. I do not want to go too far out our way, but was thinking about hitting Monschau for a few hours. It seems sort of far, but could we do it if we really wanted to?? Thanks!

That is just too far, unless you want to be in a car all day. Your time in Monschau would be too rushed to enjoy it, and Aachen is not to be missed if you are so near. Elsewhere, you ask about daytrips from Lux City. Aachen and Monschau would be a great daytrip. PS: Since your route is close to the one we took last year, I will send you some more information by PM.
