My family (myself, wife and 8 year old daughter) are going to Mittenwald Germany. We have read about a chair lift up to some fantastic (but not to difficult) alpine hiking around a couple of lakes (Lautersee). Can anyone comment on this hike? Or the area in general. Thanks.

Comments... Mittenwald is the postcard perfect Bavarian village. We did the Karwendelbahn cable car in Mittenwald. Great views at the top.
