I am traveling to Milan and departing from Prague in 2 weeks. I have 21 days and I need an itinerary! I am a green traveler and getting overwhelmed. What route would you take and what sites would you see? I am an active and healthy mid 50's and open to all modes of travel. I dont care much about seeing a bunch of museums but rather prefer to see the great views, castles, lakes, villages, romantic places etc. Prefer not to move around alot but rather operate out of just a few places so im not using valuable sightseeing time to move from room to room. Wouldnt mind some light hiking and biking either. Thanks for any and all help...times closing in on me. Leaving 9/5
It is difficult to come up with a whole itinerary. Have you read something about different places in Switzerland and Austria? You also need to reserve - ASAP - hotels and especially train tickets for Italy, Austria and the international sectors. It is possible to conceive a general route that goes to two places in Switzerland (Interlaken and Davos/Kloster/St. Moritz), then veer east through Voralberg into Austria. You can then pick some small city on the valley, a regional hub for mountain tourism (Interlaken) and what not. If you want to focus on a specific valley in Austria, Mayrhofen offers a good base for hikes.
