Mike's Bike Tour to Neuschwanstein

Has anyone had experience booking this tour? Sent an e-mail as instructed on the website to reserve a spot in July and I haven't received confirmation. Do they send one when it gets closer to the date of the tour? I'd like to avoid calling overseas if at all possible.

I wouldn't take a "third party" tour. It's so easy, and far less expensive, to go on your own. See my web page on how to get to the castles.

Have never taken this tour, but I know that some people like to ride bikes while touring, that they can have a great time, meeting new people, riding through the city or country side. It can give an extra fun dimension to your travels, especially when everyone sits down at a cafe or beer garden together. For those traveling alone, or with family, these kind of tours are great.

You should resend your email, or use a different email. If you are using Yahoo, they sometimes go into spam. This happened to us when we were trying to book a Battlebus tour.

Heather,

I've never dealt with Mike's Bike Tours, however I have used Radius Tours for touring Neuschwanstein and was quite pleased with it. If you don't hear from Mike's in the near future, you might consider contacting Radius.

Good luck!

I've actually taken the tour, and it's quite fun. You ride in a chartered bus from Munich, and you pick up your bikes once at Fussen. The ride is very easy, and I believe you go to the castle afterwards.

My only suggestion would be to book once you get there. In my experience, the tour never seemed to fill up very far in advance. I simply signed up the day before, which I think is better, given the unpredictability of Munich's weather. I also highly recommend their all-day tour of the city. It's a great way to familiarize yourself with Munich, and it's a lot of fun.

Are the Segway tours to Neuschwanstein, or just city of Munich tours?

Anyway, I can't imagine it that much fun.

Actually, I quite enjoyed the Segway Tour I took in Paris. It's quite a unique way to get around, and was a lot of fun.

I definitely plan on taking more Segway Tours in Budapest, Munich or wherever.

Cheers!
