Has anyone stayed at the MIJE hostels in Paris? We need a place in paris mid-May for 5 days. Would appreciate any info on this hostel. The HI hostel looks nice but seems like it is about 20 minutes out of the city. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!!

From personal experience I can highly recommend the MIJE hostels. When I booked online, by the luck of the draw I was given a room at Fourcy. It was great. However, both the Rick Steves and the Lonely Planet Paris guidebooks say that Maubuisson is the best of the three.

I've never been to the MIJE. But, I would recommend the AIJ Hostel in Paris (Auberge Internationale des Jeunes Hostel). The website is http://www.aijparis.com/
You have to book by faxing them a form from their website (can't book online). It is only 15 euros/night in May. I stayed there this past fall and while it is basic it is quite clean. I was considering staying at another hostel this May, but after reading so many other Parisian hostel reviews I decided to stay at the AIJ again. I'll be there May 10-15th - so we may bump into each other :)
Also you won't find too many reviews online for them because you can't book online. So hotelbookers.com and such won't list them and their reviews. Trip Advisor has a few - I need to leave one on there.
