We have two family members arriving at FRA within 30 minutes of each other: one via Lufthansa from South Africa and one via United from Dulles. I want to meet them both, but would also like a back-up meeting place, simple to locate after a long flight) at FRA for us to aim for if we get separated. Any ideas?
I always suggest the 'Lost Property' desk, but don't know if somewhere the size of FRA might have more than one, or at least one for each terminal.
You could all meet in the lobby of the Frankfurt Airport Sheraton Hotel. It's connected via a sky bridge with terminal 1 of the airport. It's been a number of years since I've done that but it worked out well. Frankfurt airport has a website that could be helpful to you - here it is, in English:

Lufthansa and United both use Terminal 1, so you should plan on meeting in the terminal. The airport has a designated meeting point at Terminal 1, on the Arrivals level, Level 1, at the end of the B Concourse. It's likely identified by signage with four arrow converging on a point. Any airport or airline employee should be able to point you to it.
There is signage that points the way to the Meeting Point. Like Lee said, it is by Arrival gate B-1. Luggage storage is right next to it, so you can look for those signs too. The Meeting Point has a large, red, white and blue Cube hanging over it. There is a Marche' Cafe next door, so you can get some coffee and some wonderful handmade baked goods. The smell is great and it is fun to watch them bake if you are there early in the morning.
I met my mother there, just as Jo described, last June. Very easy and convenient.
