Hi all, We will have one afternoon to leave Freiburg around 13:00 and travel along Lake Constance/Bodensee with our hotel for the evening right near Hohenschwangeau. Would you suggest Meersburg or Lindau for a stop along the way? The castle in Meersburg looked interesting but I was also curious about the possibilities of doing a smaller length (1-2 hour) cruise on the water...however not sure if this is feasible or where the best place to leave from is. Any suggestions are much appreciated! Thank you!!!

I'm sorry I can't offer the comparison you request. But, besides the castle in Meersburg, you can take a ferry to visit the beautiful gardens on Insel Mainau. And just down the road in Friedrichshafen is the small but interesting zeppelin museum, located there because Count Zeppelin's first flight was over the Bodensee. Enjoy your travels.
