If you enjoy hiking and mountains, there's an old monastery to the NW of Barcelona -- you can stay there and take a funicular up the mountain, and hike around to the various hermitages. It's called the Monistrol de Montserrat, about 10 miles south of Manresa, and is on the edge of the Parc Natural Muntanya de Montserrat.
