May Day in Paris

I will be in France during May Day. Does anyone know what will be open on that day? I know a lot of shops, monuments and museums will be closed. I plan to be in the Montmartre area that day, and I want to visit the Sacre-Coeur. Does anyone know if the church and dome are open? Merci!

First off, it's not May Day - it's the Fête du Travail - Labor Day. The Basilica will be open, but it's possible the bookstore/gift shop will be closed.
