Finding prices for non stop flights from JFK,Newark, Philadelphia and Boston very high..Do the airlines have Spring fare sales, if so how far out? Need advice.
It's unpredictable. Looks like the lowest non-stop right now is $998 from Boston. Best advice I could give if saving money is a top priority would be to seriously consider going to Paris with 1 stop each way. Boston is lucky to have both Icelandair and Aer Lingus with service to Paris. Icelandair is showing $660 & Aer Lingus $735 in May. I've flown Icelandair several times..... no problems.
<<Icelandair is showing $660 & Aer Lingus $735 in May.>> And to add to the allure of Icelandair's low fare, you can do a stopover in Iceland if you want and not have it affect your airfare - well worth it if you have the time.
Aer Lingus is showing a lot of dates out of NYC for $614 in May. I've been looking at MCO (Orlando) to Paris in June and might re-configure to book as two separate airfares - first go from Orlando to New York then New York to Paris.
I found that it was cheaper for me to buy a one way ticket from Orlando to NYC, then a multisegment trip with Aer Lingus from JFK->Amsterdam and Paris->Orlando for a trip in August. I looked at flying straight from Orlando and it was about $250 more expensive, with a lot of the flights requiring a 2nd layover anyways. I decided to turn NYC into a portion of our trip by heading up 3 days early.
We're doing the same this year, breaking the trip up with separate air fares and finding it cheaper.
