"Masculine" activities for Hubby and Son in Paris

30 days until my lifelong dream trip to Paris!!! For my itinerary I have Sunday and Monday (days 6 &7) designated to shopping and just hanging. Any recommendations for my hubby and son to do while I shop and have my 1000th macaron and hot chocolate?

Invalides.............

Napoleon's sarcophagus in a building originally built as a hospital for wounded soldiers but is now a military museum. There are many exhibits for WWII as well as much of France's prior military triumphs - lots of cannon all over the place........ It's also conveniently close to the Rodin Museum and the Luxumbourg Gardens for when you reunite and continue your day together........

Guys tend to like military things........ Invalides is the Paris option.

Exploring the automobile dealerships on the Champs Elysee might also be an option, shopping on the Champs for you (although it feels like a strip mall to me) and cars for the guys. I know at least of a Mercedes and Renault dealership on the Champs (where they often display concept cars), I think Toyota also has a "flagship" dealership on the Champs...... - maybe you could do this together! There IS the La Duree (where you can get macaroons and "heavenly" chocolat chaud!) near the Arch de Triomphe on the Champs which is very near the Arch AND the auto dealers.

I've heard tell of a Renault museum also, but I don't know where it is........

This question is double posted. It usually works better if we get most of the answers under one thread or the other, but not both (so other repliers can see what others have said). Here's the other thread.

Search for the Renault museum - word has it that it traces the entire history of the automobile and shows lots of Renault concept cars........

It might be outside of "central" Paris, but again, where CAN'T you get on the metro?

But the auto dealerships on the Champs have the added benefit of being near shopping on the Champs AND La Duree where you can get your macaroons AND chocolat chaud! At least this way you and your hubby and son are in the same neighborhood as you each do things that each of you like.......

Anyway, it was just an idea, I hope they enjoy it............

There's an excellent natural history museum at the northwest corner of the botanical gardens, the archaeological crypt at the opposite end of the square from Notre Dame, and the National Maritime museum down by the Trocadero. Some kids get a kick out of the batobus. The french tomb of the unknowns is under the Arc. There's a bird market on the north central side of the Ile de la Cite. The funicular to the top of the Montmartre hill costs one metro ticket.
