We're flying into Marseilles and taking the shuttle to the train station. From there we plan to take the Metro to the Old Port (is this a good plan?). I can't find a Metro map to determine where the stations are and which line(s) to take and the cost. I'd appreciate any information you can give. Thanks.

If it's Gare St Charles for the train station, take Line 1, Direction Timone (sp?). The Vieux Port / Hotel de Ville is the second stop.

We were in the Marseille Airport a couple of weeks ago and Ed's correct, there is a shuttle to the St. Charles Railway Station. It picks up just outside the airport door and the airport is pretty small. There is a Marseille Metro Map in Wikipedia.
