Two of our friends stayed at Marriot last Nov. They said the condo was great, place was clean, food good, location easy to travel from. Although very American a factor which made them feel comfortable.

Just got back yesterday from there. The place is beautiful and the staff is very accomodating. However, they are still in construction and sometimes the workmanship is lacking. So if something does not work, report it immediately to the front desk and they WILL get someone there. Also, they do not clean up, only change towels.

The place is outside of Paris, south to be precise and you need to take the public bus, the #34 to the train station. It stops just outside the facility. The shuttle only runs between 8:50 am and 16:50 pmand you must make advance reservations. It is 2 euros per person round trip. Be sure to get a map before you go as you will need to transfer trains to get to sites like the Louve, Notre Dame etc and that takes some coordination and time. Give yourself 90 minutes to get to Paris. Remember, you must take a bus (15-20 minute ride) and then a train and then transfer on the metro. The transfers on the metro take time as there are stairs and escalators needed to get to the other lines. Buy the mobile day pass at the RER ticket counter - and they will take your credit card, and the pass is good for the return bus ride to the Club.

Also, buy your food at the local supermarket in town, it is a ten minute walk. Helpful hint, you must supply your own shopping bag - if not they will charge you for each plastic bag - a small amount, like 25 cents. You can buy the store brand shopping bag for .69 euros. They will also take your credit card - although they prefer VISA. There is a market in that area and the fruit and vegetable stand is great, as is the lunch menu at the local bistro. There is a great restaurant in town, I can't remember the name but the Marriott recommended it and it is on the handout sheet they gave us. It sounds like Au bella something and it is a small - like a 20 seater - restaurant run by a husband and wife. The Marriot will know it. Go, it is fun and is a 20+ minute walk from the Marriott.

Enjoy.

Alan: Thanks for the useful information on this property.

"Give yourself 90 minutes to get to Paris."

From your description, it sounds like it takes at least 3 hours per day to get to Paris from the Marriott time share (and return)? That's 2 train rides and 2 shuttle bus rides per day to go to Paris and return? (plus waiting around time for the bus and train)
