Marbella, Spain

Interesting that Marbella,Spain is not listed in the 2013 book of Spain.
We are trying to decide if we should stay in Puerto Bano or if the town of Marbella is better. We are traveling In the middle of October. Any suggestions for hotels for four adult women?
