We have a departure scheduled for Friday morning @ 10:30 AM from CDG, what are our best taxi/shuttle options? THX
So your flight leaves at 10:30 meanign you will want to arrive around 7:30 am. .
Marais is a big area, so it would be best if you said which metro/RER station you are closest to. It could be as simple as a few minutes walk to the Chatelet RER station and jumping on the RER, they run frequently and will have you there in 35 minute for about 10 euros a head.. or , if you wish a taxi is another option. G7 is a taxi company you can call and order a taxi the night before, they all speak english , the taxis are metered and I have never read a complaint about them they are considered very reliable. . Google for the G7 taxi website, all english. Last option is to walk to nearest taxi stand , this may or may not be a good idea. Taxis are not always at the stands, or a stand may be further then you wish to walk. We did it this way last summer but we knew where the taxi stand was and we saw that there always seemed to be taxis at it,, which there was when we needed one.
We took the Metro from Chatelet to CDG. Just be careful you buy the correct ticket to CDGwe were in a rush and apparently bought the wrong ticket. When we got to CDG, we couldn't get through the turnstileour tix were not accepted, and there was no place to buy a new one or otherwise rectify our mistake. Finally we had to just quickly follow someone through before the barrier shut.
I imagine if you buy your ticket from a person rather than from the ticket kiosk, you should be okay, though.
When we have an early departure from CdG airport, we like to stay the night before at a nearby hotel. Last time we used the Ibis Hotel at Terminal 3, but there are other hotels near the airport. It was so convenient, no rush to make sure to arrive on time, less stressful. I think we caught the same flight, 10:30 to SeaTac.
