Has anyone on the list visited Ibiza, Mallorca or any of the Spanish islands during the summer? I've heard they are crowded but also expensive. Any thoughts? Is it worth a day visit?

These islands are VERY crowded in the summer. Ibiza is known as a party place. Mallorca will feel like a German colonie.
Don't think it's more expensive than the Spanish coast. But you'd need to take an expensive ferry of flight to get out there. I'm sure you can find more interesting places on the mainland that work better for daytrips.
