We are needing a hotel in Malaga near or at the airport at the end of May for one night. We would prefer a free shuttle to and from the airport. Any ideas? Or, has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and taken the bus?
We would prefer not to have lots of expenses for taxis unless necessary.

The Holiday Inn Express is about as close as you're going to get to an aiport hotel in Malaga...and not a terribly attractive area. If you're not leaving too early, you may want to consider a hotel downtown, near the main train station (Maria Zambrano), then catch the "cercania" commuter train to the airport. There are runs every half hour and it takes about 15 minutes...the fare is less than two Euro per person.
