I will be in Nancy France in late October 2012. I would like to book a private English speaking day tour of one or more Maginot Line sites within driving distance of Nancy. I understand there are several sites worth visiting near Thionville, about 1 1/2 hours North of Nancy. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I am afraid I can't help you with info about Maginot line tours - hopefully internet research can pull up more. But Nancy is an underrated, very cool city to visit. If you're not already aware, you should know that Joan of Arc's birthplace and where she trained as a soldier are within 45 minutes drive of Nancy as well - Doremey La Pucelle. This isn't an area often visited by helpline folks but hopefully someone else can help you out!
