Has anyone ever used this site to rent apartments? Also, has anyone stayed in or is familiar with the Plaza de Alamillo or Plaza de Paja areas? Would they be reasonably safe for a woman and teenager?

We are planning a trip to Madrid and I emailed them, but never got a reply. I'm not sure why..
