Am I reading the schedule correctly that on 11/14 there are only two trains from Madrid to Granada - one in the morning and one in the evening? Thanks.
Yes, there are only two DIRECT trains/day from Madrid to Granada. You may get slightly better options if you book Madrid-Sevilla, then Sevilla-Granada (4 train/day on this leg.) But it'll cost you more and take longer. On this route, I always take the bus...very comfortable, about 5 hours for the trip (one stop along the way), and very cheap. More than a dozen buses/day, at about 17 Euro. Check out www.movelia.es. You can buy tickets on-line...and remember that intecity buses in Spain have reserved seating.
Without double checking myself, you are probably correct. Granada is not well served by train.
We found it easier to fly between the two cities.
