Madrid on November 1?

November 1 is All Saints' Day, and we only have a very short time we could spend in Madrid - we'd arrive on October 30 and depart early on November 2. Is it silly to try to go to Madrid for such a short time - especially if the town "closes" for the holiday?

Thanks!

Although restaurants and bars will be open, most stores will be shut....and two of the main museums, the Prado and the Thyssen Bournemisza will be closed, since November 1st is a Monday this year. So your options will be limited. If it's a nice day, it may be worth it just to wander the streets if you've never been there before.....and it'll also depend on what your alternatives are, since similar closures will be in effect across Spain.
