We will arrive in Madrid for a two week tour beginning in Madrid and ending in Lisbon. I'm planning on arriving a week ahead of the tour and rending a car in order to see Normandy. We would like to visit some friends in Mennecy, France that we have not seen in years. Any suggestions of other places to visit or lodging we should consider within that one week time frame? The rental car will be picked up at Madrid and returned to Madrid.
