I will be arriving at Madrid's Barajas airport from Morocco, spending one night there, and then leaving the next morning. Are there any moderately priced hotels nearby, that offer a free shuttle to and from the airport?

We stayed at the Axor Feria. The rooms are ultra- modern and very clean. It was quite reasonably priced and has the free shuttle from and back to the airport. (You need to find out from the hotel where you get it at MAD. I vaguely remember some confusion on our part about this.) There is another higher priced Axor next door, with a restaurant. We ambled over for a quite decent dinner. If you want the cheaper hotel, you need to be careful when reserving. The only drawback is being near the airport, they aren't convenient for going into the city.

This past April we stayed at the Madrid Pullman Aeropuerto & Feria. There is a Metro stop about a half-block away, and they have an airport shuttle every 30 minutes. (You would have to ask them how to find the shuttle to get TO the hotel; we only took it in the early a.m. to the airport.) Nice bar, restaurant, and excellent rooms.

I would recomment the IBIS Airport hotel. One of the closest to the airport...reasonble rates, rooms are nice. Breakfast is available, and the shuttle service runs until about 11:30 pm. (The van is a mujlti hotel van, ask for it in the shuttle pickup area) Have used it two weekends this trip, just in and out flights

In January we stayed at the Novotel. Chose it because they have family rooms (in case this is important to you). The shuttles all seem to leave from the same spot - outside the main terminal and towards the left as you exit - ask at the info booth if the hotel doesn't provide the exact location.
