Does anyone know why I can't find a bullfight on June 22? It is a Sunday and there are bullfights every other Sunday except for this one. Do they take a break for some reason?

I don't know why, but the official Las Ventas website doesn't list a fight for 22/06. Maybe the bulls are going on strike?

Oh NO! My husband and I were staying especially for a bullfight on this day. Where can you find out about bullfight tickets ahead of time. I didn't see that info in the book...

Has anyone had experience buying tickets on www.bullfightticketsmadrid.com site? The english translation seems a bit dicey.The site says they deliver the tickets to our hotel, so we won't know if we really got them until the day of the event.

I don't know why you can't find a bullfight for that date. However, last June we were in Madrid on a Sunday when there should have been a bullfight. In fact, I had thought about purchasing tickets prior to our trip. I was glad I hadn't because the bullfight was cancelled that Sunday due to the championship soccer game between Real Madrid & Sevilla.
If I were you, I would wait until arrival in Spain. Go to the ticket sellers that are recommended by Rick Steves. If there is a bullfight, you'll be able to get your tickets from them or through your hotel.

Gabriella, it looks like they email you the tickets if you want. I agree with Amy, though. I know you hate to miss out on the fight, but you should wait til you get there and get your tickets.
