Madrid Airport hotel with shuttle

Any suggestions for a reasonably priced hotel near Madrid airport that has a shutle? I need to be at the airport early for a 8.15am flight. Do shuttle run that early in the morning? Thanks.

You don’t necessarily need to stay near the airport, even for an early flight. The Aerocity shuttle operates 24x7 and is, perhaps, the cheapest shuttle in Madrid. Check out their website, and/or go to the Go Madrid website (transport tab) for all the details. Reserve online before your trip…pay driver. It’s only 20 minutes from the city center to Barajas if you don’t hit traffic (and you shouldn’t have any at 5:30 or 6 am when you’re heading out). Aerocity will pick you up right at your hotel door. If you decide this is a good option, I’ll personally recommend the inexpensive and super clean Hostal Acapulco in the city center right on Plaza del Carmen. Another (more expensive) option is Hotel Europa a couple of blocks down. Both are very close to Puerta del Sol. Both are also highly-rated. Check tripadvisor for reviews/photos. Sorry, I can't help with any airport hotels.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I have been to Madrid and I am really only there for an overnight due to flight connections. My flight the previous day arrives at 10 pm. I really don't think travelling to/from town is a good idea.

I love the Madrid Hilton, they have a shuttle that starts at 5:30 am. Definitely not cheap though.

In that case, perhaps this will help: http://www.gomadrid.com/madrid-airport-hotels.html

Edit: It’s true that the cost of a taxi is only approx €20 from the center, but that’s what the shuttle runs, too. Perhaps the advantage of a shuttle is that you can arrange it online before you even leave your house for Spain…they’re reliable and will pick you/your group up on time right at your hotel door...can be easier than looking for a taxi at 5:30 am. Taxis can also make sense…it just depends on your situation. There's no difference in cost.

At any rate, Tina isn’t really looking to stay in the center…she wants to be out near Barajas (which is why she’s looking for a lodging with airport shuttle)

The taxis are so cheap in Madrid, why bother with a shuttle? Our taxi from central Madrid to the airport was only $20(E).

Please do not use the Aerocity Shuttle. Altho I had paid and booked in advance via Viator, they did not show up to take me to Airport in Madrid. In Barcelona, there was no methold to contact them. Phone numbers didn't work and they refused to answer several emails. I did submit negative reviews on the Viator.com site, but they were never published. I note that Viator must only publish positive reviews. I understand from conversations with hotel guests that I am certainly not the only complainant. Feel Rick should take them out of his book, so others can avoid the inconvenience. As suggested, just take a taxi! Lots around the airport and in town, or your hotel can call one. I ended up paying the Aerocity cost PLUS a taxi to get to airport.
