I'm trying to plan some complicated local connections. I need to get from Paray-le-Monial in eastern France to either Milan or Rome. It looks like a train to Lyon and then a flight to Italy will work best and EasyJet flies both routes. Does anyone know how much time I should leave to get from the Lyon train station to the Lyon airport? Thanks!
The Rhonexpress light railway runs from Part-Dieu station in Lyon to the airport in around thirty minutes. Note that this is the Part-Dieu station. It's possible that the train will arrive at the Perrache station in Lyon, in which case I would leave another 30-45 minutes to reach Part-Dieu. (Get the tram direct from Perrache to Part-Dieu: the metro will require a change and the tram usually doesn't suffer too badly from traffic.)
A quick addition to avoid confusion: note that the Rhonexpress light rail to the airport does not leave from a platform in Part-Dieu station but from streetcar tracks in the street outside.
