Lyon Restaurants

We are going to be spending a couple of days in Vieux Lyon, one of which is a Sunday. Are most restaurants closed on Sundays? I know in Paris, it can be difficult to find places that are open on Sundays.

Thanks!

Lyon, FR restaurants

Hi Meghan,
... we went to www.google.com and entered the above phrase into the WEB search box ...we would have copied something for you, but there's too much to do that...you will probably get the answer to your question there... bon appétit! P

Perry,

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't really answer my question about whether most restaurants will be closed on Sunday as they are in Paris. Finding a restaurant in Lyon is definitely not a problem.

Thanks!

Meghan, I think you will find something. If nothing else I'd look around the old section where you're staying or the central area for an English/Irish or Auzzie style pub. There are more than is normal due to the masses of ex-pats living there, my brothers family included.

That being said, here's my suggestion. Go to Les Halles on the other side of the river and eat where the starred restaurants buy the food you'd be eating if you could. It's indoors and one of the great markets in France. Check the hours as the venders take a long lunch.
