Lyon-Beaujeu Beaujolais Nouveau Festival

My husband and I will be flying into Paris in November,2013. We would like to go to the BN festival in Beaujeu. We will fly from Paris to Lyon. Has anyone done the festival before ? What is the best way to experience it. We will not be renting a car at this time.Any suggestions where to stay ? Any feedback will be wonderful. Thanks
