Lyon and south to Jean a Luz

We will be in Lyon and off to San Sebastian in late October. Any suggestions about weather, sights or rail? We have traveled in northern France in the fall but not this far south.

Do you mean St. Jean de Luz in the Basque area of France? If so, this region is filled with great places to see and explore and the weather should be wonderful in late Oct. I suggest the Cadogan guide for detailed information on the great little villages and wonderful seaside towns.

The name of the town is ST JEAN DE LUZ. Using the right name should help you get the right information.

In Lyon you will want to stay near Place Bellecour. Lyon is a big city and there is much to see there but you need to be located in this central area or near vieux Lyon (old Lyon). Great restaurants and the roman theater is not to be missed. I think the rail connection between Lyon and St Jean de Luz in Pays de Basque might be a difficult one.
