Greetings! We are finalizing our trip to switzerland and plan two nights in Luzern. Can anyone recommend a hotel in the less than $200/night range? Of course I checked Rick Steeves recomendations, but mostly booked. Clean, good location, preferrably in room bath are desired. THANKS!

Dan, I stayed at This Hotel on my last visit to Lucerne, and found it to be reasonably priced, very comfortable and in a great location. Unfortunately, they've redesigned their website since my visit, and it's not quite so "user friendly" for English speakers. If you click "Translate This Page", it should present an English version. Has anyone tried the ETAP Hotel Luzern City? I found it on "tripadvisor.com" and the amazing price of $217 for 3 people for 2 NIGHTS! The website has Ok looking photos. Thanks!

We just returned form 2 weeks in Euriope and Luzern was one of our stops. We stayed at the Holiday Inn express, it's slightly out of town but only a 5-10 minute drive. It's a typical holiday inn. . . . but the cost was about $130 Euros a night and a good breakfast was included.
