My son is studying abroad this summer in Belgium and must make his own airplane reservations. I've been checking the fares and it is $400 less to fly into Luxembourg rather than Brussels. Does anyone know anything about this airport? It appears like he would take the USAir flight to Zurich and then take a 1 hour flight to Lux. The flight times are good. How would he best get to Leuwen, a town located just east of Brussels? Thanks, Karen

Your plan would involve more time. He will have to find a way from the air terminal to the RR station.
It looks like it is 211 km from Luxembourg to Leuwen. I would suggest taking the train, which might take half a day.

211 KM train ride is about 3-4 hrs maximum.
I think the only option is by train, unless there are buses as well. You can ask about buses on tripadvisor.com .There are many locals on this site.
