Lunch Recommendations Near the Louvre or the Musée de l'Orangerie

I am an American college student studying abroad this semester, and I am going to be visiting Paris this weekend with a class. It will be my first time in Paris. I am going to be going to the Musée de l'Orangerie and then the Louvre on Saturday. Any recommendations for a nearby, reasonably priced café or restaurant? Thank you!

Or, if the weather's nice, a kiosk in the Tuileries, between the two museums, where you can get a sandwich or such and sit among the trees watching the carousel and the pond and all the people (most of whom, let's face it, will be tourists like us).

I would so go with the intention of finding something quaint. There are hundreds of options. Go with your gut, and look at the menues posted outside. It's also a good idea to look at what people are eating on the café. If it looks good, it is!

I saw your question the other day and immediately thought of recommending the underground of the Louvre. However, I thought you might be looking for something more memorable. The problem is, the Louvre and the Tuileries are in tourist and traffic central. There are hosts of cafes along Rue Rivoli but nothing worth the money or time. You'd have to get across the Seine or 15 minutes walk to other neighborhoods for what I think you're looking for. Otherwise, save your money and forage downstairs at the Louvre.

From the Louvre I would walk over to Rue du Rivoli and eat at Angelinas. It's a tea room, has a nice menu and the BEST hot chocolate I have ever tasted. (Even if you don't eat there, try the hot chocolate)
