Luggage storage at the Koln train station

My daughter will be finishing a semester abroad study program with a family in Le Chesney, France. She will then be traveling with a friend for about 10 days. There first stop is Koln. Since we will be meeting her in Koln at the end of her independent travel we where wondering if there is storage at the train station for her rather large bag that contains winter clothing and books. It would be so much easier for her to just travel with a small carry-on for those 10 days until we arrive. We have also suggested that she ask The Dom Hotel to hold her bag until we arrive she was not thrilled with that suggestion. Is there anywhere in Koln to store a bag for a week? Thanks for your help!

There is a luggage storage at the train station (a rather high tech one) that fit two carry on backpacks, a day bag and another parcel. It had room to spare. I am not too sure how long you can store it for however. The cathdral in Koln is wonderful!

I have a station layout of Köln that came with my schedule CD from Bahn for last fall. I shows that the station has a large "Markthalle" (Market Hall) over the tracks. There are passages at either end near the exits to Breslauer Platz and the Cathedral side (Bahnhofvorplatz). At one end of the Bahnhofvorplatz passage (D), on the end by the U-bahn access, is a Gepäck-center (baggage center), with a symbol for Gepäckaubewahrung (check room). There are also lockers in the passages, but I don't think you can use them for more than a day. However it looks like the Gepäckaufbewahrung might take bags for a longer time. If you PM me and send your email address, I can send you the stationplane. It's in pdf format.
