I realize the negotiations have been ongoing for some time but we have reservations in early September. Tried to Google but could not get anything in the last 4 days. Does anyone have any insight into the latest?
I seem to remember when BA was going on strike or a possibility of doing so, BA said they had stand-by crews so would see that international flights were not disrupted. Maybe Lufthansa is planning the same thing. Call them and see if they have any plans to do so. You can trust the airlines, lol. On positive note, ask them if they do go on strike will they help you get on flight with one of their partner airlines. They are part of Star Alliance so have many international partner airlines.
Checking the German news via German yahoo, I found an article that says the cabin personnel of Lufthansa will decide on August 17 whether to go out on strike, after another negotiation session on August 16. According to this article, 97.5% are in favor of a strike if the negotiations fail. The article is dated August 8 and you can read it here:

Thanks for the research. We plan to reconfirm in a day or so and will see what they have to say. Thanks
